On Saturday, March 25, 2017, Shoot for a Cure & CSRO celebrated Canada’s longest standing Bonspiels. The 26th Annual Goldline Spinal Tap Charity Bonspiel raised over $21,000 this year; this makes a total of over $645,000 raised in 26 years for spinal cord research. This year we had 90 curlers, and over 100 dinner guests celebrating Canada’s 150th Birthday all dressed in Red & White!
The curling portion of this event is always entertaining, and the newly added “Wheelchair Button Challenge” was the hit of the day! After the curling campions were awarded, the event was followed by a Red & White dinner and dance, with many silent auction items and raffle items to be won. After enjoying a Canadian themed meal, guests partied into the evening for a great cause.
On behalf of the Shoot for a Cure and CSRO team, we would like to thank all the fundraisers, curlers, dinner guests and sponsors for helping us put on yet another successful bonspiel! We could not have done it without your support!
This event would not be possible without Ryan Durham; we would like to say thank you, Ryan. You are a Cure Champion!
Until next year curlers!
