Following a diving accident in 1987, I sustained a spinal cord injury (SCI) resulting in quadriplegia. This spinal cord injury induces partial or complete limb impairment and torso functioning. After working as a personal injury attorney, I decided to dedicate my time fully to the Canadian Spinal Research Organization, an organization devoted to financing the specialized research in the field of recovery from spinal cord injury triggered paralysis.
My goal, which has been my goal since my accident, is to find a cure to paralysis caused by spinal cord injury. That is why on September 23 I will be participating in the Montreal Rock n’ Roll Half Marathon in order to raise money for the Shoot for a Cure campaign and its spinal cord research initiatives.
Please consider donating to my campaign and sharing my message with your friends and family. My goal is to raise $10,000 and any help would go a long way to help people like me walk again!
